Wedding

Isn't this beautiful? This is The Lodge at Sea Island on Saint Simon's Island. Although the wedding wasn't held here, it was held in front of it. The drive to the Lodge is called the Avenue of the Oaks because it is lined with Oak Trees on two sides and is very picturesque.

Here you can see the beginning of the Avenue of Oaks outside of The Lodge. It was magical!

A friend of Mark's played the Guitar during the service.

My sister Vicki and her family.

My sister Jenny and her family traveled all the way from West Virginia to be here. Thanks, sis!

Skylar, the cutest little flower girl ever!

Brother John and Mark.

Maid of Honor, Helena.

Ashley let the boys walk her down the aisle. Have you ever seen a more beautiful bride? Of course, I may be a little prejudiced!

Chandler sure looks like he's happy about his Mama marrying Mark.

That's all folks! There goes Skylar to her Mama. LOL!

Notice how Davis is pushing them together. He could not keep still during the ceremony.

Ashley and Mark included the boys in their vows, promising to protect the family.

Our Pastor, John Brown officiated the wedding.

"Crop Queens" crop

I went to a crop today and actually got some pages done. I am so far behind it isn't even funny. This layout is of Cassidy's school pics from last year. The pictures were taken in the Spring while she was still recovering from the surgery she had to fix her right arm after she broke it in February. If you look, you can see her sling around her shoulders. I was never so happy to be able to get a hard cast on her arm and throw away that sling!

The second layout I finished today (YAH!)is about my son-in-law, Mark and the band he was in. They put on a concert at the Ritz Theatre in Brunswick this past May.

But the really good news is that I won the Grand Prize Giveaway at the crop and got this super cool bag from Thirty One Gifts. Just think of all the scrapbooking supplies I can carry in this...

The package comes with 8 cards, 4-scalloped and 4- square and the clear envelopes to mail them. When we are finished you will have 4 different designs. I have 2 of the designs pictured here but will post the other 2 designs later.

Isn't this little guy a cutie-patootie? I embossed the front of the card using a Cuttlebug folder.

Okay, so I just completely scraplifted this card from another consultant Karen Day! She is an amazingly talented lady. It was beautiful and I was like, why reinvent the wheel?

The cost for this workshop will be $23.90. Included in the kit are the following:
X7130B Mistletoe Level 2 Paper Packet
Z1309 4 1/2" Clear Cards (set of 8)

Contact me if you are interested in taking this workshop by email (nancyhoover@hotmail.com) or by phone (912-294-2163). Can't make it on that day? Maybe we can schedule for you and your friends on another day.

Hooligans Kit of the Month- October

Next month's kit of the Month project will be a 2-page layout you can use for Halloween or either just pictures of your "little monsters". We will be using the new Hooligans kit from the Fall/Winter Idea Book. We are also using a layout from the new "Magic", CTMH's newest how-to book. This one is great for interactive pages.

Here's a close-up showing the hidden journaling. I thing I need to add something else to the pocket front. Hmmmm...

And here is a close up of those cute little monsters. They are made of felt and are so adorable.

I will be doing this workshop on October 16th, 2010 at Crossroads Church of God. If you are interested in attending please contact me by email (nancyhoover@hotmail.com) or by phone (912-294-2163).

Rehearsal Dinner

Mark's friend Charlie decided to host the Rehearsal Dinner at their house. They had everything looking so beautiful. The plan was to run through the rehearsal first and then eat. We enjoyed Sangrias and fruit and cheese while we were waitng for everyone to get there. Another of Mark's friends is a chef and prepared a wonderful meal for us.

Ashley with Jen Askew.

Mark and Helena deep in conversation.

The little flower girl, Skylar. Isn't she adorable?
I finally got to meet Mark's Mom, Darlene. She was super nice and I understood why Ashley also said good things about her.

The wedding party.

Ashley, Mark and the boys going over their vows. They wrote part of their vows to include the boys. I was tearing up already just hearing this.

Chandler got a little nervous when he was practising walking down the aisle with Ashley and had a little meltdown. I had tears in my eyes just watching Ashley and Mark handle the situation. (Okay, that's twice that I had tears in my eyes. Mayber I was a little bit emotional that night.) Where did she learn to be such a great mother?

My dad, Gabrielle and Tony. You can look at her and tell that she was sick that night. Poor baby!

Gabrielle trying out all the different cheeses...Goat, Gouda, Blue Cheese and a Mango cheese. Plus they had a slice of honeycomb with honey and various fruits. My girls only knew about mild cheddar cheese or mozzarella cheese!

Charlie's Dad, Gary was trying to encourage Cassidy to try new things. She was only brave enough to taste the honey with fruit on a cracker.

Ashley's two "Nana's"...Nana Weada and Nana Lois

Everyone was stuffed! Tyler's meal was delicious! Now to watch the slideshow.
