Acrylic Album

Every since CTMH introduced the My Creations Acrylic Albums I have been wanting to complete one. I was a little intimidated at first but once I got started, I was on a roll. Here is the end result with pictures of my beautiful daughter Gabrielle in it:

I hope you liked it. All supplies used were CTMH products.

I will be doing a workshop on this in June. Call me or email me if you are interested in more information.

Jekyll Island Photo Shoot

My oldest daughter Ashley just bought a brand new Canon digital camera because she had been lusting after mine for so long. She of course had to one-up me and buy a model that had more megapixels and bells and whistles on it. LOL! I really don't mind because it seems like photography might be her calling. She is an amazing photographer! Here are some shots she took recently of her sisters at Jekyll Island. It was a rush job as she didn't get off work until 4 p.m. and we had to be back in Jesup for a baby shower by 7p.m. but she did an outstanding job.

These were taken by the Historic house. I love these!

I don't know if I like this bedroom eyes pose or not. She is not old enough to look like this!

Then we headed to Driftwood Beach to take a couple of shots.

Gabrielle doing her supermodel pose.

I have more pictures but just wanted to show you a couple of them. Now I have got to get busy and scrapbook them.

Family Ties - Adults C1346

I needed a card to take to a baby shower for my nephew's wife who is having a baby in June. I immediately thought of this stamp set because it is so cute. I colored in the image using the stamp pads as a palette and a blending pen. I also used the Family Ties- Children set to stamp a little baby girl on the inside of the card but forgot to take a picture of it. The patterned paper used was a retired set from CTMH. I also used a punch from Martha Stewart to dress it up some and finished it off with 3 White Daisy brads.

Ready, Set, Hunt!

Cassidy's school Easter egg hunt was held yesterday. They walked to Rayonier Park and enjoyed a sack lunch before the big egg hunt. Mrs. Paul and Mrs Deloach had all the kids line up on the sidewalk. They couldn't start finding eggs until the countdown. They could see eggs everywhere and were anxious to start.

In order to allow all the kids to find eggs, they had to "freeze" after finding their first five eggs. When everyone found five then they were let loose to find five more and so on.

After they found all of the eggs, then they had party food...cupcakes, chips, pickles, drinks. Of course a lot was wasted since they had just ate their lunch 30 minutes earlier. All in all, it was a good time.

Band Concert

Cassidy and I headed to the high school auditorium last night to listen to some wonderful music from some very talented kids. It was the Spring Concert for Gabrielle's middle school band. Each grade had their own band and played 3 or 4 arrangements. Earlier this year, Gabrielle had told me that she was tired of being in band and wanted to get out after this year so I assumed the Spring Concert would be my last time getting to see her perform. But about a month ago she changed her mind and decided to stick it out to experience at least one season of marching band. I am so glad. I was in band in high school and played the flute. I really enjoyed it although I didn't like having hat hair afterwards. LOL!!!

During the concert I realized that I didn't have any pictures of Gabrielle with her instrument so after the concert I asked her to stand still so I could take one. Oh boy, you would have thought I was asking her to balance the budget! So here is the picture I got. She's gonna love this when she get older!

Stamp Club Layouts

It's been a while since my last post but I have been having a hard time learning how to put pictures on my blog. I think I have finally figured it out now so hopefully I will be posting more often.

We had our monthly stamp club meeting today and had a wonderful time. In between all the stamping and scrapbooking, we had a blast talking about finding Easter eggs on Facebook. It would appear that we are obsessed with trying to find as many eggs as possible.

Here are several of my latest layouts.

Easter Egg Relay

Here is the layout we did today at our monthly stamp club meeting. I can't take credit for the page. I scraplifted it from a fellow consultant, Tiffany Cheney. She always does the cutest pages!

Colors used are: Creme Brulee, Sorbet, Juniper and Spring Iris for the base. Stamp sets used are: Happy Easter, Easter Eggs and Playful Petals. If you are interested in ordering any of these items, please contact me.

Celebrate

We did this layout last month for stamp club. This adorable little boy is my youngest grandson celebrating his 3rd birthday. Cupcakes are all the rage now, so we stamped cupcakes and then covered the "icing" with Liquid Applique and Prisma Glitter. Needless to say, I had glitter all over me.
Supplies used: Good Times stamp set, Daydream paper, Lilac Mist and Sweet Leaf cardstock. All supplies are by Close To My Heart.
