July stamp club project

This will be the layout we will be doing during my next stamp club meeting. I was talking with a club member about this next meeting and she mentioned that she was going to a family reunion and would like to see something that she could use for her pictures. This is what I came up with. I made a stick figure representing all of my immediate family. Of course you don't have to add the 4th of July stamps to it. I hope everyone will like it.

Recipe:
Stamps:Chocolate Alphabet-Large, July Word Puzzle, Family Ties-Adults, Family Ties- Children
Cardstock: Bamboo, Chocolate, Indian Corn Blue and Cranberry
Ink: Cranberry, Indian Corn Blue
Coloring Pencils
Blending Pen

Fourth of July Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend this year. It was very busy but fun as you will be able to see from the photographs. I hope you had a great holiday and took lots of pictures also. These pictures are from our trip to the river. We live at the river and there is a boat ramp just a little ways down from our house. You would think that we go to the river all the time, right? WRONG! We don't and I don't even know why not. So Saturday morning I suggested to Tony that we take a boat ride down the river. The girls were all excited about it even though we had to ride in Tony's "fishing" boat which only has two seats. They had to ride sitting in the bottom of the boat but they didn't care. We stopped at one of the many sandbars to get wet and cool off. Cassidy wanted to stay there longer but we had plans with Ashley and her family at the beach later that night to watch fireworks.

After the river, we headed to St. Simons Island to meet with Ashley and Mark and some of their friends to watch the fireworks. Their friends had purchased about $1000.00 in fireworks and were going to set them off at the beach. The kids had a blast playing in the water while we waited for it to get dark. We were able to get some great family shots also. Once the fireworks started it was great! And scary at times with a few rogue fireworks.

On Sunday our church held a low country boil to celebrate the holiday. They had a bounce house and slip n slide for the kids. They also had plenty of food!!!! It was the perfect ending to a great weekend.

How about a blog hop?

July Stamp of the Month...You've Got Flair.

Do you want to go on a blog hop and get great ideas for the July Stamp of the Month? We have some very talented consultants with Close To My Heart and about 46 of them has created special cards, layouts or projects using the July SOM. I looked through them yesterday and was "wowed" and I thought you would enjoy it. What is a blog hop you ask? It is a group of blogs that have created ideas just for the occassion and you start at one blog and then she directs you to the next one. You continue in this manner until you have looked at all of them. Here is the list of blogs participating. Start at the first one and have fun. If you get lost you can always come back here and pick up where you left off.
